Authenticity
This message invites us to walk a journey of authentic discipleship centered on one simple question from Jesus: 'Will you follow me?' Drawing from Acts 3 and 4, we find Peter and John at the Beautiful Gate, where they meet a man lame from birth. What unfolds is a powerful demonstration of what authentic faith looks like—Peter declares he has no silver or gold, but what he does have, he freely gives: faith in the name of Jesus Christ. The man is healed, begins leaping and praising God, and 5,000 people come to faith in a single afternoon. When questioned by the same religious authorities who crucified Jesus, Peter and John respond again - with authenticity: 'We cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard.' In an age of "air-brushed content" - people want "real". Let us authentically carry that reality - boldly wherever we go and with whomever we meet - always "carrying about" in the person of Jesus Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:10)
